Kangaroo Island is larger than you may realize.  The Island has 540km of coastline is 155km long and 55km wide. We recommend a stay of at least 3 full days. Staying with us here in Parndana, will allow you the time to really explore this beautiful Island. Parndana is the most central township on Kangaroo Island.

How do I get to Kangaroo Island ? You can fly from Adelaide into Kingscote Airport. Regional Express Airlines is the only flight service to Kangaroo Island at present. You can take the scenic drive from Adelaide to Cape Jervis to pick up a ferry at Cape Jervis. Cape Jervis is approximately a 2 hour drive from Adelaide.  Sealink Kangaroo Island operate a ferry service which sails across the “Backstair Passage” from the mainland of South Australia, arriving at Penneshaw the entry point to Kangaroo Island via sea. Sailing time takes approximately 50 minutes.  Hire cars are available at the Airport or at Penneshaw.  There are 2 companies on the Island (Hertz KI) and (Budget KI)

How do I get to Parndana ? You will need a vehicle if you are planning to stay in Parndana. Unfortunately, there is NO TAXIS or BUS SERVICE available travelling to Parndana. The driving time from Penneshaw to Parndana is around 50 minutes.  Of course this depends on the time of the day you are planing to travel. If travelling at night, more care is required due to the prevalence of wildlife. View our Kangaroo Island map to reference yourself to our property.
Services in Parndana Parndana is well serviced for a small country township.  We have a small shopping village, Hotel, Post Office, Bakery and two fuel outlets.  LPG gas is NOT available in Parndana but available in Kingscote. We also have our own Golf Course, which provides it’s own wildlife experience while enjoying a hit of Golf or just leisurely strolling in the early evening or morning.  You never know what you may come across !
